Phantasm Art in Inman Park

Posted on July 26, 2013

Sight+Sound Gallery and Inman Perk Coffee’s Sight, Sound, and Cafe event series continues this month with the work of Atlanta based painter, Kelly Turley. This collaborative exhibition, artist talk, and coffee sampling event series features opportunities to meet the city’s best new artists while treating yourself to the latest Inman Perk blends.

Join us at Inman Perk Coffee’s Inman Park location for an evening of coffee and art, highlighting a solo exhibition and conversation with Kelly Turley.

In her expressive, surreal paintings, Kelly Turley explores and reveals scenes evolved from a place of non-hesitancy. Driven by the belief that painting spontaneously unveils hidden realities, Kelly intuitively chooses which images to bring to light while allowing others to remain ominous within the shadows. Conflict is evident in her paintings as well, as emerging imagery of opposing qualities and emotion are mirrored in the high contrast in color. Kelly invites the viewer to use their own imagination when viewing her work to elicit their own truths.
