Coming Soon to Inman Park!

Posted on February 2, 2006

After months of hard work, we are thrilled to announce that our flagship location in Inman Park will soon be open for business!

We’re very excited to bring Inman Perk to the neighborhood it was named for — you can read more about Inman Perk’s inspiration here. And we’re not only thankful for such a wonderful spot to soon call home, but we’re also incredibly grateful to the team of experts and all-around nice folks who have helped make our dream come true.

Gene Kansas and Patrick Busko of Gene Kansas Developments helped us translate our vision into reality by introducing us to some fantastic partners who shared our desire to bring a world-class coffee shop to Inman Park. Not only did they organize and manage activities such as quotes, but Patrick made a valiant attempt at breaking the world record for longest wait to get a city parking permit. Major props go to Patrick for that.

Joe Remling, Lucy Aiken Johnson, and Kara Cristaldi at AI3 have done an amazing job with the architectural plans and interior/exterior decor. We can’t wait to share their work with you and show you why they consistently garner awards for their expert designs.

Mike Pellegrom of Pellegrom Construction Co. has given new meaning to the term “from the ground up.” As the contractor for our build-out, he has literally built many of the fixtures and pieces from scratch. And he hasn’t complained once of getting a splinter — the man has skill.

Hugh Dargan of Dargan Landscape Architects has transformed our patio into a laidback oasis with his custom-designed trellis and hip landscape design. Trust us…it will be hard to leave the inviting atmosphere of the patio.

Mike Phillips of Highland Forge has done a great job breathing the spirit of Inman Perk into the custom ironwork he’s crafted for us. When you come by, be sure to check out the gates at the entrance of the patio to see some of his handiwork.

A very sincere thank you goes to this hard-working team for not only believing in our vision but helping us translate it into something you can experience in real life.

We’re now putting the finishing touches on the store, and soon we’ll be hiring and announcing our grand opening date. Our grand opening is going to be a real celebration of everything that makes us a truly unique coffeeshop — you won’t want to miss it!

Check back soon for our official announcement and more news. In the meantime, stop by our Flowery Branch location and enjoy a hot drink and a delicious dessert. We think you’ll agree that we’re one of life’s little perks!
